The sacred Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is set to witness another milestone as the \u2018Ram Darbar\u2019<\/strong> will be installed on the temple\u2019s first floor<\/strong> on May 23, 2025<\/strong>, and will be opened for public darshan from June 6<\/strong>. The announcement was made by Nripendra Mishra<\/strong>, Chairperson of the Temple Construction Committee.<\/p>\n

While the event will be deeply religious in nature, it will not be a consecration (Pran Pratistha) ceremony<\/strong>, as the Pran Pratistha of Ram Lalla<\/strong> was already conducted on January 22, 2024<\/strong>, in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\uded5 Ram as \u2018Raja Ram\u2019 to Grace the First Floor<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Speaking to PTI, Mishra clarified, \u201cThe Pran Pratistha of Ram Lalla was held on the ground floor in 2024. Now, it is the turn of \u2018Raja Ram\u2019 (Ram in his royal form)<\/strong> to be placed in the Ram Darbar on the first floor of the temple.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Ram Darbar will include an approximately 5-ft tall idol of Lord Ram<\/strong> carved in white marble<\/strong> in Jaipur<\/strong>, along with idols of Goddess Sita<\/strong>, Lakshman<\/strong>, Bharat<\/strong>, Shatrughan<\/strong>, and Hanuman<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\ud83d\udcff Religious Ceremonies Before Public Opening<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Though Mishra clarified it would not be a consecration ceremony, he noted that ritualistic pujas<\/strong> would be conducted in the lead-up to the installation.
\u201cThese pujas will begin ahead of the installation and will conclude on June 5<\/strong>, aligning with auspicious planetary timings. The Darbar will then be thrown open to devotees on June 6<\/strong>,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\ud83e\uddf1 Temple Construction Nearing Completion<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The construction of the main temple<\/strong>, which began in 2020<\/strong>, will be fully complete by June 5<\/strong>, including the second floor<\/strong>, Mishra confirmed. However, the peripheral compound wall<\/strong> and some additional elements are expected to take a few more months to finish.<\/p>\n

In addition to the Ram temple itself, seven auxiliary temples<\/strong>, including one dedicated to Maharishi Valmiki<\/strong>, will also be completed and ready for devotees by June 6.<\/p>\n

\ud83c\udf89 A Modest Ceremony Compared to January 2024<\/strong><\/h3>\n

When asked whether this installation would mirror the grandeur of the January 22, 2024 Pran Pratistha<\/strong> ceremony, Mishra said, \u201cThis will be a more intimate religious affair<\/strong>. Decisions regarding the scale of the event will be made by the Ram Temple Trust<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n
