{"id":41476,"date":"2025-11-05T07:03:41","date_gmt":"2025-11-05T07:03:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ppnewsline.in\/?p=41476"},"modified":"2025-11-05T07:03:41","modified_gmt":"2025-11-05T07:03:41","slug":"acb-recovered-rs-35-lakh-following-trap-of-patwari-of-patwar-halwa-dadui-samba","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ppnewsline.in\/?p=41476","title":{"rendered":"ACB recovered Rs. 35 Lakh following trap of Patwari of Patwar Halwa, Dadui, Samba"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>PP NEWS LINE DESK<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>SAMBA, Nov 4: Jammu and Kashmir Anti Corruption Bureau, registered a case FIR No. 19\/2025 U\/S 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 against public servant, namely, Sunil Kumar, Patwari, Patwar Halqa Dadui, Tehsil &amp; District Samba, for demanding and accepting illegal gratification from the complainant.<\/p>\n<p>The said accused public servant, demanded the bribe amounting to Rs 1,00,000\/- from the complainant, for preparing a report, sought by Tehsildar Samba on the application of complainant,\u00a0 with respect to correction of Girdawari. However, after negotiation, the said Patwari has agreed to receive Rs 80,000\/- instead of Rs 1,00,000\/- from the complainant for doing the needful.\u00a0 The complainant could manage Rs 20,000\/- as bribe money from the agreed amount of Rs. 80,000\/ for payment to the said Patwari. Since, the complainant didn\u2019t want to pay bribe and approached Anti-Corruption Bureau for taking legal action against the accused public servant under law.<\/p>\n<p>On receipt of the complaint, a discreet verification was conducted, which corroborated the demand of bribe by the public servant concerned and accordingly, a case FIR No. 19\/2025 U\/S 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 was registered in Police Station ACB Jammu and investigation taken up.<\/p>\n<p>During the course of investigation, a trap team was constituted. The team laid a successful trap and accused public servant was caught red-handed while demanding and accepting bribe amount from the complainant in the presence of independent witnesses. The accused was arrested on the spot by the ACB team after following due process of law.
