This action came in response to a complaint submitted by a Rajasthan BJP delegation, claiming that Priyanka made false and unverified allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a rally in Dausa district of Rajasthan on October 21.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The complaint was filed by the Leader of Opposition in the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly, Rajendra Rathore, and other state BJP leaders. In their complaint, the BJP alleged that Priyanka Gandhi made false statements about Prime Minister Modi and invoked his personal religious devotion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Election Commission determined that Priyanka Gandhi\u2019s speech, in which she mentioned that \u201can envelope offered by PM Modi at the Dev Narayan Temple had Rs 21 inside it,\u201d was prima facie violative of the Model Code of Conduct guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The show-cause notice to Vadra stated, \u201c\u2026 you are hereby called upon to show cause by 17:00 hrs of 30th October, 2023 (Monday) as to why appropriate action for violation of Model Code of Conduct should not be taken against you.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">What Priyanka Gandhi Said During Her Dausa Rally:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">During a rally in Dausa district\u2019s Sikrai constituency, Priyanka Gandhi stated that she had seen on TV that \u201cPrime Minister Modi visited the Dev Narayan Temple here\u201d and offered a donation envelope to the temple deity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI watched on TV that after six months, the envelope deposited by the Prime Minister was finally opened. People were wondering what could be inside that envelope. The Prime Minister, a significant leader of our nation, had made a donation there, and when the envelope was revealed, it contained only Rs 21.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She continued, \u201cThis is the state of affairs in our country. Grand announcements are made, various envelopes are presented to you from the stage.
