PDP to Approach Hazratbal Police Station After FIR Denial Against Waqf Board Chairperson 

PP News Line Desk: After being denied permission to file an FIR at Nigeen Police Station against the Chairperson of the Waqf Board, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has decided to approach Hazratbal Police Station for registration of the case.PDP President and former Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), urged the police to act swiftly. “I urge @JmuKmrPolice to initiate an FIR immediately given the gravity of the offence deliberately hurting the religious sentiments of Muslims thereby provoking them,” she wrote.The development comes amid growing political uproar over the alleged misuse of religious symbols and the demand for accountability within the Waqf Board.
