Collapse of law & order in Jammu region

Law and order  is totally collapsed in Jammu division as the division  has witnessed 88 per cent  crime in  the last seven years. The Jammu is witnessing   firing, looting and theft incidents on daily basis while police failed to check the increase crime  and drugs cases. Seven years  ago, the Centre  has revoked Jammu and Kashmir’s special status and bifurcated it into two Union territories thereafter  criminals and druggists  broke all the all the previous records . This approach by Centre government has not produced the desired results. It has failed to establish law and order in Jammu. The problems  is compounded  in the last seven years. It is time for the  Centre government to accept that the causes of increase criminal incidents in Jammu division is down grading of state to UT. The blatant discrimination and failure of law and order situation is the clear proof that   non local IPS officers air dropped after 2019 in J&K totally failed to performed their duty. Experts told that this is the main root cause of the  increase criminal incidents in Jammu. Time and again, the practice  to appoint political background person as head of Raj Bhawan in Jammu and Kashmir proved  totally fatal, The approach which the New Delhi hitherto adopted  is not  work in Jammu region where BJP has won 28 assembly seats and four  Lok Sabha seats. Political parties are strongly condemned the deteriorating law & order situation in  Jammu region. Expressing deep concern over the recent attacks in Jammu region, questioning the silence of the  Home ministry  on law and order issue. They questioned how such repeated attacks could occur under the watch of a  Home ministry. While J&K is grappling with severe security threats, the centre is busy in   one after other assembly elections  in states, abandoning their responsibility towards the people of  Jammu division. Such negligence could embolden criminal elements, putting people lives at risk. The New Delhi  must take immediate and concrete steps to restore law and order in  Jammu and ensure the safety of the common people  by replacing existing Lt Governor of a critical border state/UT. Now the time has ripe  that Centre must revisit their policy and recall all non local IAS, IPS officers back to their original cadre  from J&K who were air dropped  after 2019 . They must be replaced by  the erstwhile IPS, IAS officers  included DGP, ADGPs, IGPs of ranges
