Leh, July 18: In a formal ceremony held at the Ladakh Raj Niwas, Kavinder Gupta was sworn in as the third Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Ladakh. Justice Arun Palli, Chief Justice of the Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court, administered the oath of office to Gupta.
Gupta, a veteran BJP leader, brings with him a wealth of experience in governance and politics. His appointment follows the tenure of Brigadier B.D. Mishra, who served as LG since February 2024. With a strong background in public service, Gupta is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Ladakh
The swearing-in ceremony marked the beginning of a new chapter for the Union Territory, with Gupta poised to drive growth, development, and progress in the region. As LG, he will work towards addressing the unique challenges and opportunities of Ladakh, leveraging his expertise to foster a brighter future for its people.
