Jammu, December 02: Shivalik Branch of Bharat Vikas Parishad today organized Inter-School Quiz Competition “Bharat Ko Jaano” inside the auditorium of A.S.N.Hr.Sec.School, Channi Himmat in which 9 teams from nine reputed institutions participated in two different categories separately i.e. Senior Category and Junior Category. The Participating schools are A.S.N.Hr.Sec.School, Channi Himmat, Tiny Tots Hr.Sec.School, Sainik Colony, R.M.Public School, Sainik Colony, Global Convent School, Channi Rama, Himmat Learning School, Channi Himmat, Modern Public School, Channi Himmat, J.S.Luthra Academy, Channi Himmat, Bal Bharti Public School, Channi Rama and Jammu Public School, Sainik Colony. Two teams from each school participated separately in Junior and Senior Category. A.S.N.Hr.Sec.School won Inter-School Quiz Competition in both Senior and Junior Category with huge margin.
Ms. Sunaina Mehta JKAS, Principal Revenue Training Institute, Jammu was the Chief Guest while Mr. Vivek Shekhar JKPS, SP City Jammy was the Special Invittee where as Dr. Rahul Kapoor, Trustee Adarsh Educational Trust was the Guests of Honour. Also present on the occasion Ashok khajuria President Shivalik Branch, Sh Rakesh Sharma Secretary, Sh Vivek Mahajan Treasurer, Smt. Sunita Gupta President B V p JKUT prant, Sh Arun Sharma Joint Secretary North region 1, Sh Hridey Chander Vaid Advisor, Sh Ashok Gupta VicePresident Prant, O P Dubey vice President Br ,Sh R K Gupta Jt. secretary, Smt Anju Bansal convenor Sampark, Sh Vandana Maini convenor sanskar, Smt Sunita Mahajan National member Mahila sahbhagita and others.
The competition started with National Anthem followed by presentation of floral bouquets to the distinguished guests, lighting of ceremonial lamp and presentation of Cultural item “Vande Matram” from the students of host school.
Mr. Ritesh Kapoor, Director- Principal of A.S.N.Hr.Sec.School presented the welcome address and highlighted the rules and regulations for the event. He added that winning or losing should not be criteria for the participants and what important is their participation and in which they all are winners.
In Senior Category, PratibhaCharak and Parinidhi Singh of A.S.N.Hr.Sec.School, Channi Himmat stood first while Akshara Devi and Vanshika Sharma of Modern Public School stood second where as Darnakshi Dogra and Aman Sharma of Tiny Tots Hr. Sec. School, Sainik Colony stood third.
In Junior Category, Lavanya Kapoor and Gitansh Singh Charak of A. S. N. Hr. Sec. School, Channi Himmat stood first while Varsha and Mohd Imran of Bal Bharti School stood second where as Rupali Rupasmita Baral and Rupali Verma of J.S.Luthra Academy stood third.
Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Sunaina Mehta congratulated the participants and participating schools for showing enthusiasm and preparation in quiz competition. She said the competition ignited passion for learning and excellence and this event showcased the power of knowledge, curiosity and teamwork. She added that Quiz competition is a platform to showcase your knowledge and skills where in students need to stay focused, think critically and enjoy the competition.
Mr. Vivek Shekhar during his address appreciated the role of Bharat Vikas Parishad for taking an initiative for conducting Quiz Competition on Bharat Ko Jaano and for inculcating values amongst the students through their various programs. He said that students need to stay away from drugs and its consequences as they are easy targets to spoil the society. He added that the drug menace from the society is to be removed with active participation from student community, parents and social organizations by keeping an eye and informing the same to the police department to help them providing the safe and healthy society.
Dr Rahul Kapoor lauded the role of Bharat Vikas Parishad for organizing Inter-School quiz competition and congratulated the participants for their active participation.
The function closed with presentation of trophies to the winners, medals, certificates and refreshment to all the participants followed by National Anthem.
