Saint Sadguru Shri Madhuparamhans Ji Maharaj, the saint of Sahib worship, mesmerized the congregation with his discourses in Ranjri, Jammu today on the occasion of the full moon, saying that the Vedas and scriptures describe the qualities and characteristics of the soul. We all share these traits. However, if we look closely, we cannot see the soul anywhere in human conduct, behavior, eating habits, or actions. Furthermore, it is a universally accepted principle that the soul is immortal. It is a universally accepted principle that we are all bound by the mind and illusion. But no one is making an effort to understand the mind and illusion. This principle is also established that we are bound. That is why everyone is talking about liberation.
Sahib is saying that the entire world has been bound without a rope. Everyone is entangled in the pursuit of livelihood. Everyone believes that they are bound by the mind and illusion. But it is crucial to understand how they are bound. If something is somewhere and we are searching for it elsewhere, how can we obtain it? Thus, we must understand what the soul is, what the mind is, and what Maya is. This body contains the soul, the mind, and Maya. We must understand all three: what Maya does, what the mind does, and how we are bound. Until we understand these facts, we will not be free.
It is the mind that binds. It is also the mind that confuses. O swan, you belonged to the immortal world, but the mind has led you astray in this illusory world. The mind has led the entire world astray. The entire world is a follower of the mind. Few are followers of the Guru. It is only the mind that confuses the soul. The matter is very clear. There is a beautiful explanation of this soul-god. The soul is beyond lust, anger, etc. Then where did this trouble come from? A person who changes his color every moment, sometimes happy, sometimes sad, sometimes dancing, sometimes something else? He is called a capricious mind. One who forgets in the waves of the mind. This mind will never wish well for you. The mind’s sole purpose is to prevent the soul from knowing itself. Therefore we have to know the mind.
