The Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Government Medical College Kathua successfully organised a two-day workshop on Gynaecological Endoscopy under the EAGLE Project from May 22 to May 23, 2026. The workshop witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members, resident doctors, delegates, and undergraduate students.The programme was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Surinder Kumar Atri, Principal GMC Kathua, and Dr. Minakeshi Rana, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. The workshop focused on enhancing practical knowledge and surgical skills in minimally invasive gynaecological surgery through expert lectures, live operative demonstrations, and interactive academic sessions.Hon’ble MLAs Rajeev Jasrotia and Dr. Bharat Bhushan attended the event as Chief Guests, while renowned experts from Kolkata, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, and Jammu also participated in the workshop.Live surgeries and hands-on training sessions provided valuable learning opportunities for young gynaecologists and resident doctors, helping them gain exposure to modern endoscopic techniques and evidence-based practices.The workshop concluded successfully with appreciation from participants for its academic value, practical utility, and contribution towards advanced surgical training and quality patient care at GMC Kathua.
