JAMMU, April 14: Baisakhi and the birth anniversary of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar were celebrated with great enthusiasm and fervour under the leadership of Choudhary Sukhnandan Chowdhary. A large number of people participated in the event, making it a grand success.
The entire area witnessed a festive atmosphere as people celebrated Baisakhi — a festival symbolizing harvest, prosperity, and new beginnings — with unity and joy.
Addressing the gathering, Choudhary Sukhnandan Chowdhary highlighted the significance of Baisakhi, stating that the festival represents prosperity, fresh beginnings, and social unity. He emphasized that such occasions strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and harmony in society.
He also paid rich tributes to B. R. Ambedkar, recalling his immense contribution to the nation. He said that Dr. Ambedkar laid a strong foundation of equality, justice, and rights through the Constitution of India, and urged people to follow his ideals to build a progressive and inclusive society.
